Quality Control Lead – Project Lyra

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Lead and mentor a team of around 10 Quality Control Reviewers, ensuring adherence to quality standards specific to the Indonesian locale.

• Assess reviewer feedback, conduct quality audits, and ensure compliance with project guidelines.

• Serve as the main quality liaison for the Indonesian locale, addressing quality-related inquiries and escalating complex issues as needed.

• Organize calibration sessions and deliver structured coaching aimed at enhancing reviewer performance.

• Track quality trends, identify potential risks, and proactively remedy performance deficiencies.

• Assist in the onboarding and professional development of new Quality Control Reviewers.

• Collaborate with global Quality Teams to refine processes, documentation, and ensure quality consistency across AI training initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level proficiency (CEFR C2 or equivalent) in Indonesian.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in AI training, data annotation, linguistic quality, localization QA, or a similar quality assurance role.

• At least 1 year of experience in leading or supervising reviewers, annotators, or quality teams.

• A strong grasp of linguistic quality, encompassing grammar, fluency, tone, register, and cultural subtleties.

• Proven experience in providing structured, evidence-based feedback and coaching others to enhance quality.

• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to assess complex tasks that may not have a single correct solution.

• Strong organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic remote setting.

• Nice to have:

• A degree in Linguistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or another analytical discipline.

• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF), AI data annotation, prompt evaluation, or NLP projects.

• Familiarity with annotation platforms and quality management processes for AI datasets.
