This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.
• Create and develop moderately complex automated testing scripts.
• Execute moderately complex automated test cases and report the outcomes.
• Identify, document, and independently track software defects to resolution utilizing defect tracking tools such as JIRA.
• Deliver comprehensive documentation for test cases, test results, and defects that are both clear and concise.
• Work closely with the software engineering team to thoroughly understand application functionality and testing requirements.
• Maintain and update existing moderately complex automated test scripts.
• Ensure that automated tests remain current with the latest application modifications and enhancements.
• Adhere to and provide suggestions regarding automation best practices.
• Offer mentorship to associate automation quality engineers, aiding them in skill enhancement and a deeper understanding of automation.
• Manual testing may be required as necessary.
• 3-5 years of overall testing experience, including 2-3 years of automation testing experience or equivalent training in automation.
• Proficiency in the Python programming language (Core concepts) is mandatory.
• A strong understanding of requirement analysis is essential.
• Significant experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Collibra DQ, Karate, JUnit, TestNG) and debugging skills is crucial.
• Experience using version control systems (e.g., Git) is required.
• Knowledge of BDD frameworks is necessary.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and database testing is essential.
• Familiarity with JIRA or similar management tools is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proven capacity to analyze test results and pinpoint issues, are required.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in design and estimation techniques is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are preferred.
• A good knowledge of continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins) is a plus.
• A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies is desired.
• Experience in UI/API functional testing is advantageous.
