Quality Assurance Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Responsible for all Quality Assurance Engineering tasks related to the testing of UI and Server-based application software for projects.

• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate various testing activities.

• Develop and maintain testing scripts for both UI and Server-based software.

• Accountable for establishing and upholding a high-quality software testing and engineering framework aligned with software development and quality assurance standards.

• Convert product requirements into a comprehensive test plan along with the corresponding test case development.

• Conduct testing for software functionality, product installation, performance, load, and usability.

• Collaborate with internal teams, including developers and product managers, to ascertain system requirements.

• Explore the reasons behind non-conforming software and train users to execute solutions.

• Monitor quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.

• Function as a highly effective Quality Assurance Engineer and actively participate in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in both white and black box manual testing of web applications with user interfaces.

• Proven expertise in functional, system, regression, and integration testing.

• Experience in developing test cases from user stories.

• Strong analytical abilities combined with meticulous attention to detail.

• Capability to execute and interpret complex SQL queries.

• Proficient in analyzing a product for precise integration test scenarios.

• Demonstrated experience with test management tools.

• Familiarity with X-Ray is preferred.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

• Background in white box testing of RESTful APIs, SOAP APIs, and/or web services.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines while providing status updates.

• Competence in documenting QA procedures for the team.

• Ability to validate software release deployments.

• Proven experience in test planning (including data planning), scheduling, and evaluation.

• Management of defects within a corporate defect tracking system.

• Must be a US Citizen.

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Federal Government Public Trust.

• Must pass a background check.
