Quality Assurance Engineer, English Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Collaborate effectively within a Scrum framework to guarantee the quality and dependability of SaaS solutions.

• Evaluate testing objectives and develop thorough test plans and test cases.

• Employ exploratory and automated testing methodologies and tools.

• Collect and utilize testing and quality metrics.

• Implement test plans to confirm the functionality of pre-production software.

• Work alongside internal teams to ascertain system requirements and objectives for planned solutions.

• Offer insights and contribute to the acceptance criteria for user stories.

• Estimate, prioritize, organize, and oversee testing activities.

• Design, create, and run automation scripts.

• Detect and document bugs and issues.

• Conduct revalidation and regression testing following bug fixes.

• Monitor QA metrics, including defect density and the number of open defects.

• Stay updated on testing tools and strategies.

• Play a role in preventing production issues, enhancing customer success, and fostering TradeCentric's expansion.

• Report to the Quality Assurance Engineering Manager.

• Work during ET timezone hours.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in advanced English, both in written and spoken forms.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is strongly preferred.

• 3 to 5 years of pertinent experience in Quality Assurance.

• Proven ability to draft clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing for SaaS platforms.

• Capability to simulate production scenarios, replicate issues, and identify edge cases.

• Expertise in testing applications and APIs developed with PHP 8.x and Vue.js, or similar technologies.

• Practical experience with automated testing tools like Cypress, Playwright, and Selenium.

• Proficient in Python automation scripting and SQL.

• Familiarity with XML, cXML, JSON, and HTTP/API protocols.

• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

• Experience in a Scrum and CI/CD environment.

• Familiarity with source code control systems, particularly GitHub.

• Experience in performance and/or security testing is a plus.

• Background in B2B, e-commerce, or integration domains and software is advantageous.

• Candidate must reside in Mexico.

• Advanced English proficiency is required, both written and spoken.
