Quality Assurance Test Analyst II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Engage as part of a collaborative Agile team consisting of testers, developers, and business stakeholders.

• Create and maintain transactional websites that are integrated with intricate back-office legacy systems.

• Provide thorough testing within the time constraints of Agile sprints.

• Modify and run automated test scripts utilizing various automation tools.

• Oversee defect management, uphold defect logs, and conduct root cause analysis.

• Review and analyze data, test outcomes, and documentation for consistency and precision.

• Assist QA team members and optimize the use of testing resources effectively.

• Implement risk-based testing methodologies to determine suitable testing levels for projects.

• Actively collaborate with project team members to promote quality and ensure the success of initiatives.

• Keep up-to-date with testing methodologies and strategies.

• Design story-level and acceptance tests that accurately represent business rules and code intentions.

• Formulate and execute test strategies, plans, cases, acceptance testing, and test scripts.

• Partner with business associates on User Acceptance Testing and develop UAT plans.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of QA standards, procedures, and processes.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• 5-8 years of experience in system-level QA Testing.

• 5 years of experience working in an Agile environment.

• Familiarity with testing web applications and/or web services.

• Knowledge of all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Experience in Software Quality Assurance testing encompassing System, Integration, Regression, Performance, and User Acceptance Testing.

• Comprehension of Test Driven Development (TDD) and its relevance to Agile testing.

• Extensive experience in developing test strategy and test case documentation.

• Capability to write and comprehend basic SQL queries for data validation and test data preparation.

• Proficient with testing tools such as QA Symphony qTEST, Borland Micro Focus Silk Central, HP Quality Center, Test Director, or equivalent.

• Experience with test automation frameworks such as Cucumber, FitNesse, TestNG, or Selenium.

• Familiar with API testing tools like SOAPUI, Postman, or similar.

• Experience with defect management software such as Jira or Bugzilla.
