Quality Analyst III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop, design, and implement test cases for APIs, encompassing all potential scenarios.

• Assess API contracts (requests/responses, status codes, headers, and payloads) in accordance with technical documentation.

• Identify, document, and report bugs clearly and objectively, prioritizing based on severity and impact.

• Collaborate with developers and the Product Manager within the team.

• Engage in refinement sessions and agile ceremonies to grasp requirements prior to development.

• Conduct regression tests on existing endpoints following new releases.

• Assist in the upkeep and advancement of the automated API test suite.

• Validate data directly in the database when required, ensuring coherence between the API and the persistence layer.

• Suggest ongoing enhancements to testing processes and overall team quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quality Analyst/QA focusing on API testing.

• Solid knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, Insomnia, or similar).

• Strong comprehension of REST and GraphQL principles, including HTTP methods, status codes, and authentication.

• Familiarity with JSON and the capability to interpret API documentation.

• Excellent written communication skills for clear documentation of bugs and test cases.

• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

• Preferred: experience in automating APIs using Playwright and TypeScript.
