This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create, uphold, and implement both manual and automated test scripts to guarantee the functionality, performance, and compliance of Survivor Portal features.
• Ensure traceability from business and functional requirements through to test cases and deployment validation for comprehensive verification.
• Engage in Agile sprint testing activities, which include backlog grooming, story acceptance, and regression testing for incremental releases.
• Develop and manage a test management repository that aligns user stories with validation evidence and test outcomes.
• Facilitate continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) by incorporating test automation pipelines with build and deployment tools.
• Execute API and integration testing to confirm secure data transfer between the Survivor Portal and backend systems.
• Assess accessibility compliance (Section 508/WCAG) and usability in collaboration with UX designers.
• Document, report, and monitor software defects and performance issues using Jira or similar tools.
• Assist in load, stress, and security testing to ensure portal resilience under varying user and data loads.
• Work in tandem with developers and system engineers to identify and resolve issues early in the release cycle.
• Conduct post-deployment validation (PDV) to confirm system readiness and ensure operational continuity across environments.
• Contribute to sustainment testing to verify successful patch deployment and configuration modifications.
• Offer quality-related insights for Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) and lessons learned.
• Clearance Requirement: Must possess an active Secret clearance.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a relevant technical field.
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in software quality assurance or test engineering for enterprise applications.
• Experience supporting federal or defense Agile DevSecOps programs.
• Demonstrated success in implementing automated testing frameworks within CI/CD environments.
• Technical Knowledge: Expertise in Selenium, Postman, or Cypress for automated and API testing.
• Experience with test case management tools (Zephyr, qTest, or TestRail).
• Familiarity with Agile software development and integration of DevSecOps testing.
• Experience in AWS GovCloud or comparable secure cloud environments.
• Understanding of DoD cybersecurity standards, DISA STIGs, and RMF compliance.
• Knowledge of load and performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, or similar).
• Certifications (Preferred): ISTQB Certified Tester or Certified Software Tester (CSTE).
• CompTIA Security+ CE (DoD 8570 baseline).
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or an equivalent certification.
