Senior Software Engineer – Test Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Eliminate reliance on manual QA processes and develop scalable automated testing solutions.

• Design and enhance test architecture and tools that can scale across various services and teams.

• Take ownership of the testing strategy across services — decide what to test, where to conduct tests, and how to optimize signal while minimizing runtime.

• Enhance confidence in CI/CD processes and ensure release safety while boosting deployment speed.

• Mitigate regression risks by focusing on high-value test coverage instead of extensive test expansion.

• Actively identify, troubleshoot, and remove flaky or low-signal tests.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of professional experience in software engineering with responsibility for features, quality, or system-level projects.

• Proficient in backend development (Ruby, Node.js, or similar technologies).

• Strong grasp of REST APIs, service contracts, and software design principles.

• Experience in designing and maintaining automated tests at the unit, integration, and end-to-end levels.

• Familiarity with contemporary testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress).

• Background in building and managing services within AWS or similar cloud platforms.

• Readiness to participate in a mandatory 24/7 on-call rotation.

• Keen interest in AI-driven development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor).
