Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and uphold the comprehensive system integration, verification, validation, and testing strategy for the Rock Island Arsenal Increased Access OTA Prototype.

• Create test plans, procedures, cases, and reports that facilitate developmental testing, integration testing, operational demonstrations, and client assessments.

• Organize, manage, and carry out laboratory integration testing, Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and operational field testing activities.

• Oversee integration and testing efforts among various subcontractors, commercial suppliers, government entities, and Leidos engineering teams.

• Recognize, document, prioritize, and monitor system deficiencies until resolution, collaborating closely with engineering teams and subcontractors.

• Assist in the verification and validation of hardware, software, networking, cybersecurity, and infrastructure components throughout the system development lifecycle.

• Ensure that all testing processes adhere to approved engineering methodologies, configuration management standards, safety regulations, and cybersecurity requirements.

• Produce technical reports, executive summaries, test metrics, and engineering recommendations that support program reviews and client decision briefings.

• Aid in troubleshooting and resolving integration challenges involving multiple vendors, interfaces, communication protocols, and operational workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing and implementing test strategies, plans, procedures, cases, and reports for complex hardware and software systems.

• Proven experience in executing verification and validation (V&V) tasks throughout the system development lifecycle (SDLC).

• Proven experience in conducting system integration testing that includes hardware, software, communications, networking, and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components.

• Proven experience in identifying, documenting, tracking, and confirming the resolution of system defects using defect tracking and configuration management techniques.

• Proven experience in supporting Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), developmental testing, operational testing, or customer acceptance evaluations.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% to facilitate laboratory integration, customer demonstrations, and operational assessments.
