QA Test Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Organizing test resources as part of an agile delivery team.

• Conducting regular one-on-one meetings with the QA team to provide them with clear guidance and support.

• Assisting and investigating both internal and client/third-party inquiries.

• Ensuring accurate estimation of testing efforts for reporting and analysis.

• Providing guidance and support for the testing of regular releases, including a risk-based and prioritized testing approach.

• Maintaining clear communication with the delivery team, management, and customers regarding testing deliverables.

• Understanding the functionality of our current systems and how they contribute to our customers' success.

• Continuously improving our QA practices to eliminate waste and develop lean processes.

• Enforcing and promoting SCRUM disciplines to support our transition towards agile practices.

• Collaborating with Product Owners and Business Analysts to write and develop user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Participating in the management of the product backlog, including prioritization with the Product Owners.

• Working with clients and Business Analysts to define requirements.

• Brainstorming with Lifecycle teams to determine the best approach for new tasks.

• Ensuring QA designs tests to guarantee appropriate coverage.

• Identifying and resolving errors effectively.

• Producing relevant QA documentation as part of the testing lifecycle.

• Contributing to our goal of improved automation by maintaining a backlog of automation candidates.

• Capturing QA metrics and providing analysis for each release.

⛳️ Requirements

• Knowledge and understanding of CRM systems.

• Previous experience in API testing.

• SQL knowledge at a testing level.

• Experience leading small QA teams remotely within an agile delivery framework.

• Good understanding and appreciation of change management lifecycles and methodologies (Waterfall and Agile).

• Experience in managing risk and defect management with customers and suppliers.

• Telecom experience is desirable but not essential.

• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence tools or similar.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

• Attention to detail, curiosity, and a commitment to achieving the highest quality standards.

• Ideally, possess ISEB/ISTQB Software Testing Certificate qualifications.

• Familiarity with project management methodologies such as APM, Prince2, ITIL, Scrum, and Agile is desirable.
