QA Lead – Insurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy, along with processes and governance.

• Create methodologies, standards, quality criteria, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Plan and coordinate various testing cycles effectively.

• Organize and lead the QA team, overseeing the allocation and monitoring of their activities.

• Engage in requirements analysis to identify potential risks and impacts.

• Formulate testing strategies and test plans based on the criticality of solutions.

• Supervise functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing processes.

• Manage and keep track of defects throughout the testing phases.

• Assist in defining acceptance criteria and maintaining delivery quality standards.

• Track quality indicators and metrics to ensure adherence to standards.

• Collaborate with development, product, business, architecture, and other relevant stakeholder teams.

• Propel the continuous enhancement of quality processes and practices.

• Support the technical growth and organization of the QA team.

• Establish and advocate for the test automation strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Quality Assurance and software testing.

• Prior roles as a QA Lead, Senior QA Engineer, QA Specialist, or technical authority in the field.

• Proven experience in establishing quality processes and operations.

• Advanced understanding of testing strategies, methodologies, and best practices.

• Demonstrated capability in planning and managing testing cycles.

• Experience in managing and tracking defects effectively.

• Knowledge of functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing practices.

• Proficiency in testing APIs and integrations.

• Ability to analyze requirements, risks, and their potential impacts.

• Familiarity with quality indicators and metrics.

• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Capability to autonomously establish a QA function from the beginning.

• Preferred: experience in the insurance industry.

• Preferred: understanding of insurance business processes.

• Preferred: experience with insurance core systems.

• Preferred: background in large-scale projects and environments with multiple integrations.

• Preferred: experience in test automation.

• Preferred: knowledge of SQL.

• Preferred: experience with microservices and distributed architectures.
