QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Qatar, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Conduct manual testing of iOS and Android mobile applications on actual devices.

• Assess photo capture, image quality, media workflows, and visual data utilized for 3D modeling.

• Evaluate end-to-end product functionality and usability from the perspective of end users.

• Detect functional, visual, and edge-case issues across various environments.

• Investigate defects utilizing logs, tools, and reproducible scenarios in collaboration with engineering teams.

• Maintain test cases and scenarios in accordance with requirements.

• Participate in test planning, coverage assessments, regression scope, and identification of high-risk areas.

• Assist in automation efforts through BDD/Gherkin and third-party testing services such as Mobot.

• Implement risk-based testing and shift-left methodologies to prioritize testing, clarify requirements, and mitigate defects early on.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in manual testing.

• Strong comprehension of QA principles.

• Experience in mobile testing on iOS and Android using real devices.

• Acquainted with web application testing.

• Background in media/content validation workflows.

• Excellent analytical thinking, exploratory testing, and methodical problem-solving abilities.

• Experience in debugging and investigating issues using logs, tools, and reproducible scenarios.

• Proficiency in test planning, including coverage, regression scope, and risk identification.

• Capability to test complex systems from start to finish.

• Comfortable utilizing LLMs as tools for testing and analysis.

• Keen attention to detail and a customer-centric approach.

• Strong communication skills, ability to work independently, collaborate in teams, and engage proactively in discussions.

• Understanding of automation strategies, including BDD and Gherkin-based methods, is a plus.

• Experience coordinating testing through third-party device or robotics-based testing services is a plus.

• Familiarity with 3D content, visual data, construction, or insurance sectors is a plus.
