This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain both manual and automated test cases for web applications, APIs, and integrated systems.
• Create and uphold test strategies, test plans, and testing methodologies that align with the necessary levels of automation.
• Record comprehensive testing feedback, acceptance criteria, issues, and ticketing-system procedures.
• Construct and sustain reusable automated test scripts, utilities, and testing components.
• Design, implement, and support scalable test automation frameworks.
• Conduct functional, regression, smoke, integration, end-to-end, and user story validation testing.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and Testers throughout backlog refinement and sprint planning.
• Assist the team’s Definition of Done through ensuring test coverage, execution, and quality validation.
• Integrate automated testing within Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and execute load, performance, and scalability tests.
• Analyze test results, identify defects and risks, measure test coverage, and suggest enhancements for software quality and release readiness.
• Public Trust Eligibility Required.
• Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS) or an equivalent combination of education and 4 additional years of relevant experience.
• Over 5 years of experience utilizing automation tools for testing systems and applications, along with writing and executing test scripts.
• More than 3 years of experience with automation testing tools; Playwright preferred, including tools such as GitHub Issues/GitLab Issues, Selenium, Cypress, SonarQube, NeoLoad, and/or Postman.
• Experience in developing automation and performance testing strategies and frameworks from the ground up.
• Proven experience in creating reusable test automation solutions and integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with conducting functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience in performing manual accessibility testing using screen readers and other accessibility tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in collaborating and working across functional teams.
• Applicants must be U.S. citizens or currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability Determination.
• Sponsorship is not available.
• Preferred: experience with Azure/.NET, federal government contracting, or DHS Trusted Tester Certification.
