Principal AI-Augmented Test Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Define and enhance the engagement model for AI-driven test automation initiatives.

• Modify and extend the universal rules and skill system tailored to various client environments.

• Provide guidance to senior stakeholders regarding quality strategy, improvements in the SDLC, automation maturity, and AI adoption.

• Propel standardization of frameworks while accommodating project-specific needs.

• Evaluate AI-generated code, architectural decisions, reports, rules, and testing artifacts.

• Detect systemic issues, false positives, broken contracts, redundant logic, and inefficient implementations.

• Trace issues back to their root causes and define remedial actions at the appropriate system level.

• Enhance the reliability and quality of AI-assisted engineering workflows.

• Establish principles and guidelines for the use of AI in test automation.

• Collaborate with AI coding agents and structured prompting techniques to optimize engineering workflows.

• Refine prompts, skills, layered rules, and framework integrations.

• Maximize token usage and cost efficiency while ensuring the quality of deliveries.

• Own and advance a scalable Playwright and TypeScript automation framework.

• Design and maintain page objects, reusable page-element components, fixtures, selectors, reporting, and test data management.

• Set and uphold test-design standards and architectural consistency.

• Support framework portability and scalability across multiple engagements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript test automation architecture.

• Proven track record in building and evolving automation frameworks from the ground up.

• In-depth understanding of scalable end-to-end testing design patterns and framework organization.

• Experience with AI coding agents such as Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent tools.

• Strong analytical skills to validate and scrutinize AI-generated outputs.

• Experience in defining methodologies, playbooks, standards, or reusable engineering practices.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Capability to work in customer-facing advisory and consulting settings.

• Upper-Intermediate proficiency in English.

• Experience in establishing AI-native QA or engineering workflows is advantageous.

• Knowledge of token optimization and AI operational economics is beneficial.

• Experience in leading or scaling QA/automation practices is a plus.

• Understanding of SDLC transformation and quality engineering strategy is a plus.

• Experience in consulting or multi-client delivery environments is a plus.
