QA Automation Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, secure, and reliable software products across various teams and platforms.

• Lead and nurture a team of QA engineers specializing in both manual and automation testing.

• Define roles and responsibilities, assess work quality, and offer coaching along with performance feedback.

• Review test plans, test cases, and test scripts to guarantee comprehensive requirements coverage.

• Manage team capacity, distribute workloads, and oversee deliverables.

• Identify, document, and monitor defects until resolution with developers.

• Establish, document, and uphold QA standards, guidelines, and best practices.

• Promote proactive Quality Advocacy across teams.

• Supervise test planning, execution, and coverage for features and releases.

• Ensure uniformity in test case structure, documentation, and preparedness.

• Lead the expansion of automation frameworks and practices across different platforms.

• Identify candidates for automation and prioritize the automation backlog accordingly.

• Provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding automation progress and results.

• Collaborate with product managers, developers, data teams, and executive leadership within an Agile environment.

• Drive quality strategy, standardize QA practices, and pinpoint opportunities for process improvements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 5+ years of experience in software QA, ideally in the health tech industry.

• 2+ years of experience leading a team of QA engineers.

• Strong comprehension of Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience in manual and automated test planning, development, and execution.

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar.

• Familiarity with API testing tools and frameworks.

• Knowledge of healthcare regulations (HIPAA, FDA, GDPR) is preferred.

• SQL skills for database validation and troubleshooting.

• Proven capability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
