QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Assume responsibility for the quality of products across backend services, web, and mobile applications.

• Enhance QA efficiency by implementing AI-assisted and AI-driven automation.

• Develop scalable tests utilizing semantic locators and reusable testing patterns.

• Optimize extensive test suites through techniques such as sharding, parallel execution, retries, and re-running failed suites.

• Integrate QA automation within CI/CD pipelines.

• Produce nightly QA reports and monitor test health.

• Troubleshoot flaky tests and enhance test reliability.

• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to elevate release quality.

• Act as the QA owner for a project, liaising with clients and engineering teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in QA automation, SDET, or mobile test automation positions.

• 4–5+ years of experience in QA / Quality Engineering.

• Proficient in backend/API automation.

• Strong grasp of automation framework design.

• Experience in API testing and database validation.

• Familiarity with integrating automation into CI/CD processes.

• Knowledge of Playwright.

• Practical experience in incorporating AI into QA automation workflows.

• Proficient with Git and standard software development practices.

• Preferred experience with Node.js / JavaScript for automation.

• Experience with Maestro for mobile automation.

• Knowledge of PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.

• Experience in testing microservices and distributed systems.

• Familiarity with queues, asynchronous processing, or event-driven systems.

• Experience in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Exposure to performance/load testing.

• Comfortable acting as the QA owner for a project.

• Strong communication skills to confidently engage with clients and engineering teams.
