This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated API and end-to-end tests utilizing Playwright and TypeScript.
• Implement risk-based testing to assess what should be automated and articulate coverage decisions.
• Integrate automated testing into GitHub Actions pipelines and uphold automated quality gates across various environments.
• Monitor, triage, and resolve test failures and flakiness by addressing underlying issues.
• Conduct database-level validation using SQL, particularly during the transition from MongoDB to PostgreSQL.
• Take ownership of performance and load testing, establish benchmarks for high-traffic endpoints, and report regressions with actionable insights.
• Maintain test cases, execution results, and requirement traceability using Xray.
• Document defects with clear reproduction steps, severity assessments, and relevant evidence.
• Engage in refinement, estimation, and sprint ceremonies.
• Collaborate with developers on test code reviews, testability enhancements, and shift-left quality practices.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the automation framework, test data strategy, and quality reporting.
• Directly impact release promotion through Dev, QA, UAT, and Production pipelines.
• A minimum of three years of professional QA experience, including proven ownership of test automation you have created or significantly enhanced.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: JavaScript or TypeScript, Python, or Java.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright, or extensive experience with Cypress or Selenium along with a working knowledge of Playwright.
• Strong API testing capabilities, encompassing REST endpoint testing, authentication flows, payload and schema validation, status code management, and handling of negative and edge case scenarios.
• Experience with Postman or a similar tool.
• Experience executing automated tests within CI/CD pipelines, including headless execution, parallel runs, test artifacts, and reporting.
• Solid test case management experience utilizing a formal test management tool such as Xray or ADO.
• Strong defect documentation skills, including clear reproduction steps, severity and priority evaluation, and supporting evidence.
• Proficient in SQL for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Experience in an Agile or Scrum delivery model.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical failures to non-technical stakeholders.
