Automation Test Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Specify test cases and document test outcomes

• Create, code, and execute automated graphical user interface tests utilizing Selenium WebDriver alongside C# unit tests

• Develop, code, and run functional automated API tests for REST services using C# RestSharp

• Create and implement functional manual test scenarios and scripts that are challenging to automate

• Detect, retest, and log defects

• Assist in the formulation of test plans

• Facilitate user acceptance testing efforts

• Participate in system integrations by actively engaging in the implementation and testing of API integrations on REST web services

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 9 years of relevant experience

• Proficient in English at B2 level or higher according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (self-assessment)

• Over 6 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance as a Test Analyst and Test Automation Engineer

• Involvement in at least 3 projects that necessitate GUI and API testing

• Strong understanding of C# or JAVA programming languages in relation to test automation

• Application of object-oriented techniques, dependency injection, design patterns, and best practices

• Familiarity with Git and experience working with pull requests

• Solid knowledge of manual regression testing and regression test automation at both UI and API levels using suitable frameworks, such as RestAssured, RestSharp, HttpClient, WebDriver, or Playwright

• Good grasp of Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) methodology, principles, and practical applications, including Gherkin, Cucumber, or Reqnroll

• Competence in automation using BDD tools, such as SpecFlow, Reqnroll, or Cucumber

• Familiarity with DevOps best practices, including continuous testing and build/release pipelines in Azure DevOps (TFS)

• Strong understanding of system- and acceptance-level testing through dynamic, static, experience-based test techniques, or a risk-based testing approach

• Excellent communication skills

• Understanding of testing with Remote Procedure Call (RPC) frameworks/APIs, such as gRPC

• Knowledge of non-functional testing utilizing tools that address at least one non-functional quality characteristic, such as ICT technical security through SAST or DAST tools/scans, performance, or reliability

• Ability to integrate into an international/multicultural setting, quickly self-initiate, and collaborate within a team following Scrum/Agile methodologies

• Experience working with EU institutions or agencies, inclusive of knowledge of ICD documentation, compliance, and validation processes
