This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Analyze project requirements, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications to gain a comprehensive understanding of project objectives.
• Execute various testing types, including functional, integration, system, regression, user acceptance, and compatibility testing across multiple platforms, browsers, and devices.
• Collaborate with QA Leads to develop thorough test plans, test cases, and scripts that support project deliverables.
• Maintain organized and clear test documentation to facilitate repeatability and knowledge sharing.
• Identify, document, and prioritize issues found during testing; ensure defects are recorded with reproducible steps, supporting evidence (such as screenshots, logs, and service requests/responses), along with detailed impact assessments.
• Monitor the defect lifecycle from identification to resolution, working closely with developers and project teams to validate fixes.
• Provide updates to project managers, business analysts, and stakeholders regarding test progress, results, and potential risks.
• Assist in root cause analysis and contribute to process improvements to mitigate recurring issues.
• Engage in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospective sessions as part of an Agile delivery team.
• Collaborate with developers, UX designers, technical leads, and program managers to establish quality expectations and testing priorities.
• Offer insights during requirements and design discussions to ensure testability, clarity, and consensus on acceptance criteria.
• Effectively communicate complex technical and quality-related issues to all stakeholders.
• Contribute to initiatives designed to enhance QA processes, improve efficiency, and ensure consistency of deliverables.
• Assist QA Leads and Automation Engineers in creating automated test cases and scenarios that complement manual testing efforts.
• Stay updated on the latest technologies and industry best practices in QA, accessibility, and automation.
• Support accessibility and compliance testing efforts in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 1 year of practical QA experience in testing software applications.
• Experience in testing across various platforms, including web, mobile web, and native mobile applications.
• Familiarity with QA methodologies, testing techniques, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Knowledge of cross-browser testing tools, web service validation, and log inspection methods.
• Preferred: ISTQB or equivalent QA certification (completed).
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Java, C#) or scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Ruby).
• Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or Sitecore.
• Expertise in database queries, database testing, and API/web service testing.
• Awareness of accessibility standards (WCAG) and accessibility testing tools.
• Exposure to automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Appium).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Amazon Web Services) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins).
• Prior experience in Agile/Scrum development teams.
