Python Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain backend services and APIs utilizing Python.

• Work collaboratively with product, QA, and engineering teams to meet business objectives.

• Engage in requirements analysis, estimation, implementation, testing, and troubleshooting processes.

• Contribute to cloud-native solutions hosted on AWS.

• Write clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code.

• Investigate and resolve issues in production environments.

• Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.

• Assist in CI/CD processes and deployment tasks.

• Propose enhancements for system reliability, performance, and engineering practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in commercial software development.

• More than 2 years of practical experience in Python development.

• Experience in building REST APIs and backend services.

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

• Proficient in Python 3.

• Experience with FastAPI or comparable web frameworks.

• Knowledge of SQLAlchemy or other ORM frameworks.

• Familiarity with PyTest or similar testing frameworks.

• Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.

• Experience in API design and integration.

• Proficient in PostgreSQL.

• Experience with relational databases.

• Familiarity with database design and query optimization.

• Experience with various AWS services, including AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Amazon S3, Amazon RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, SNS/SQS, EventBridge, Secrets Manager, or Parameter Store.

• Proficient in Git.

• Experience with Docker.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience in unit and integration testing.

• Basic understanding of Infrastructure as Code concepts.

• Intermediate or higher proficiency in English.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ownership mentality and attention to quality.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
