Python Backend Developer, File Processing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania.

📋 Description

• System Implementation: Assist in the transformation of outdated Perl batch jobs into contemporary, maintainable Python services.

• Operational Reliability: Contribute to the deployment of workflow orchestration (Prefect/Airflow) to guarantee secure job re-executions and system dependability.

• Observability: Aid in equipping our services with logging and alerting (Grafana/CloudWatch) to facilitate system monitoring without direct access to production.

• Data Transformation: Engage in data ingestion workflows, transferring raw data to S3 and converting it into records for relational databases.

• Collaboration: Take part in agile sprints and ensure effective communication in English with the team and stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Python Expertise: Minimum of 3 years of experience in backend development using Python.

• Orchestration Exposure: Knowledge or practical experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow or Prefect.

• AWS Fundamentals: Familiarity with AWS services, including S3 and Lambda.

• Databases: Proficient in relational databases, particularly MySQL.

• Clean Code: You produce intentional, easily understandable code and can articulate your implementation decisions without depending on AI.

• Curiosity for Product: You are invested in the business logic and the reasoning behind the code, particularly in relation to payment processes and reconciliation.

• Problem Solving: Possess strong analytical abilities and a proactive mindset towards troubleshooting.
