PV Technical Project Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assist Project Managers and the Head of Project Delivery with technical issues throughout the project lifecycle, from RtB to COD.

• Serve as the technical counterpart for the owner, liaising with EPC contractors and technical advisors during the construction phase of projects.

• Manage multiple projects and PM teams concurrently across various European markets.

• Engage in technical coordination during the phases of development handover, pre-construction, construction, commissioning, and final handover.

• Evaluate civil and mechanical design packages with a focus on constructability and execution feasibility.

• Recognize technical risks, constructability issues, and execution hurdles at an early stage.

• Participate in regular site visits and provide support during critical construction phases as necessary.

• Facilitate technical interface coordination among EPC contractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in the utility-scale solar PV industry.

• Experience in both technical/engineering advisory or consulting roles, as well as EPC, construction execution, or owner-side project delivery environments.

• Demonstrated experience in providing technical support, conducting engineering reviews, or handling constructability-related tasks during the construction of utility-scale PV projects.

• Experience with utility-scale solar PV projects of a minimum of 20 MWp+, preferably 50 MWp+.

• Background working with international EPC contractors and in multicultural project teams.

• Familiarity with projects in Germany and/or Italy is a significant advantage.

• Experience in BESS installation or hybrid PV+BESS projects.
