This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Prepare, review, and issue purchase orders adhering to company policies and project timelines.

• Monitor the status of orders, track shipments, and collaborate with vendors to ensure prompt delivery.

• Proactively address delays, backorders, and supply challenges to minimize disruptions to projects.

• Work together with Project Managers to synchronize purchasing activities with project schedules.

• Assist in resolving discrepancies concerning shipments, invoices, damages, and product quality.

• Support initiatives for inventory accuracy and control to enhance operational efficiency.

• Collaborate with Project Managers and Designers to ensure purchases stay within approved project budgets.

• Track and monitor purchasing expenses to uphold financial accuracy and reporting.

• Identify opportunities for cost savings while preserving quality and design intent.

• Maintain precise purchasing records within ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

• Ensure adherence to procurement policies and procedures.

• Generate and keep reports concerning purchasing activities, vendor performance, and cost management.

• Identify, assess, and cultivate relationships with suppliers of furniture, accessories, and décor.

• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms to secure optimal value and service.

• Maintain continuous communication with vendors to ensure performance standards and delivery expectations are fulfilled.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of two years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain, ideally in residential, hospitality, or home furnishings sectors.

• Strong skills in negotiation, vendor management, and building relationships.

• Experience with ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, is preferred.

• Competency in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software.

• Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
