This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement PR/media campaigns for publishing houses as well as traditionally, hybrid, and self-published authors.

• Compose press materials.

• Execute and manage media relations campaigns, focusing on acquiring mid- to top-tier media coverage.

• Formulate strategies and offer author branding consultancy.

• Assist the digital team with influencer outreach and digital marketing initiatives as required.

• Direct the execution of media relations campaigns and maintain client communication.

• Pitch and acquire placements in traditional media, podcast features, and online outlets.

• Handle media inquiries.

• Create press kits, expert profiles, sample media questions, and media pitches.

• Spot opportunities for contributed articles and innovative client placements.

• Develop, identify, and sustain media relationships.

• Conduct research on media, relevant topics, events, angles, and pitches online.

• Collaborate with the Director of Publicity to design and implement PR campaigns.

• Engage with team members and clients via Zoom, phone, and email to provide monthly updates and set goals.

• Analyze campaign results and metrics with clients.

• Assist authors in establishing consistent branding as necessary.

• Over 5 years of experience in managing and executing book PR campaigns.

• Proficiency in influencer outreach and digital marketing.

• Self-motivated individual with initiative and creative literary skills.

• Exceptional communication abilities.

• Capable of independently managing tasks and workflow.

• Proficient social media capabilities.

• Ability to work autonomously from a home office.

• Experience utilizing AI for research, brainstorming, and ideation.

• Reliable high-speed internet connection (3mb down and 1mb up).

• Applicants must live in a U.S. state where PR by the Book is authorized to hire.
