This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Develop and implement strategic account plans that align with GitLab’s AI-driven DevSecOps platform and public sector modernization efforts.
• Navigate intricate procurement and contracting procedures while shaping multi-year technology roadmaps in collaboration with CIOs and technical leaders.
• Serve as the main point of contact and a trusted advisor for significant public sector prospects and clients.
• Manage your portfolio of business, from pipeline development to closing deals and expanding accounts, utilizing a consultative, mission-driven sales methodology.
• Work in tandem with pre-sales and post-sales engineering, customer success, and support teams to ensure successful implementation, adoption, and value realization.
• Collaborate with system integrators, resellers, and other channel partners to generate qualified leads and co-develop solutions for governmental challenges.
• Engage in ongoing prospecting and opportunity development within large and strategic accounts to drive new business and expansion efforts.
• Advocate for the customer by providing feedback and product suggestions via GitLab’s public issue tracker and internal teams.
• Proven experience in selling technology solutions to U.S. State and Local Governments and Higher Education institutions, including familiarity with regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, including CI/CD automation, secure development practices, and infrastructure modernization.
• Knowledge of State procurement processes, compliance standards, and agency purchasing cycles, with the capability to navigate complex stakeholder environments.
• Consultative sales approach that positions technology as a mission enabler and aligns solutions with public sector modernization initiatives.
• Capacity to manage major accounts with a high level of ownership and control, working independently on complex opportunities.
• Proficiency in collaborating with system integrators, resellers, and internal pre- and post-sales teams to achieve successful customer outcomes.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities to build consensus among technical and non-technical stakeholders.
