This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Accountable for overseeing deliverables associated with accounting clients.
• Regularly engages with Rehmann personnel and client staff to assess the client’s needs and goals, collaborating with clients to implement necessary changes to achieve them.
• Prepares for engagements based on the client's size and complexity.
• Develops and maintains suitable procedures to address identified risks and client requirements.
• Ensures that all inquiries from clients or team members are addressed promptly.
• Completes project documentation requirements, ensuring that electronic files are secured or backed up and maintained according to firm policy.
• Aids clients in their digital transformation by introducing innovative technologies to enhance efficiency.
• Reviews all grant and vendor contracts to ensure accurate billing and accounting.
• Supervises the work of assigned associates.
• Plans and organizes client assignments effectively.
• Oversees and evaluates the work of associates, ensuring accuracy and completeness in monthly reporting.
• Assesses the work completed by others for thoroughness and precision in accordance with the plan.
• Provides input for associate performance evaluations, offering guidance on their growth and development.
• Complies with internal controls and ensures adherence to policies.
• Facilitates discussions comparing budget to actual performance.
• Keeps abreast of client policies, procedures, and business conditions.
• Understands significant business risks faced by clients (e.g., economic, market, pricing).
• Is informed about external factors impacting clients’ businesses and industries (e.g., economic, legislative, social).
• Maintains client relationships while actively participating in marketing initiatives.
• Proactively offers thought leadership ideas to clients.
• Takes part in at least one community organization to enhance professional networking.
• Attends networking events, engages in community service, and establishes a presence in the community.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Demonstrates an understanding of key ratios and statistics pertinent to clients and their industries.
• Capable of using Microsoft Word adequately to prepare correspondence and basic reports with proper formatting following Rehmann styles.
• Able to utilize Microsoft Excel proficiently to create tables and exhibits that support analyses, employing formulas and appropriate formats.
• Proficient in Rehmann technology, including Engagement, along with any other software utilized by the practice.
• Shows a developing ability to identify potential issues for further examination.
• Actively seeks development opportunities, concentrating on self-identified strengths and weaknesses.
