This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Conducts research, develops, and creates corporate narratives in partnership with cross-functional teams, external agency collaborators, and the Director of Corporate Public Relations.
• Engages in the creation and implementation of employer branding campaigns and content, highlighting and promoting associate stories, milestones, and initiatives that embody Milo’s culture.
• Oversees and maintains the public relations editorial calendar, ensuring that content is strategically planned, developed, routed for approvals, and distributed on schedule across the appropriate channels.
• Handles and manages incoming media inquiries through various channels, including email, LinkedIn, and Salesforce, and prepares opportunity briefs.
• Composes talking points, pitches, press releases, and presentations to support media relations efforts.
• Coordinates product sampling and merchandise distribution for VIPs, media, and influencers.
• Monitors news and industry trends to uncover proactive storytelling opportunities.
• Cultivates and sustains relationships with internal stakeholders to collect information, secure approvals, and align messaging.
• Upholds and facilitates participation in Corporate Responsibility initiatives, such as recycling, social advocacy, and MMAD volunteering opportunities.
• This role involves food safety responsibilities.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
• 4-6 years of experience in public relations, journalism, or strategic communications.
• Demonstrated subject matter expertise in corporate storytelling, media relations, and editorial planning processes.
• Strong knowledge of digital platforms, including generative AI tools, design platforms, and case management systems; experience in CPG, food, or beverage sectors is advantageous.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-oriented environment, with excellent organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills.
