Public Policy and Government Affairs Manager – State/Local

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Assist in formulating and implementing policy strategies in U.S. state and local markets.

• Monitor and evaluate proposed legislation, regulations, and relevant policy stances.

• Collaborate closely with sales teams to promote the adoption of Samsara’s technologies.

• Establish and nurture strong relationships with pertinent government officials.

• Support legislative filings, comments, and testimonies as needed.

• Oversee external consultants to broaden outreach.

• Contribute to the development of engaging content for policymakers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree is mandatory.

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in public policy, politics, and/or government.

• Proven knowledge and experience in state and local government affairs.

• Proficient in effectively advocating complex policy positions.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.

• Experience in managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.

• Capable of thriving in new environments and quickly acquiring new knowledge.
