Psychiatrist – Maritime Industry Mental Health Support

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for seafarers.

• Create and execute personalized treatment plans, which include medication management and psychotherapy.

• Collaborate with a team of psychologists to promote comprehensive patient care.

• Offer crisis intervention and emergency psychiatric services when necessary.

• Conduct follow-up visits to track patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.

• Keep detailed and precise patient records in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.

• Remain updated on developments in psychiatric practices and incorporate new insights into patient care.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) with a focus on Psychiatry.

• Board certification in Psychiatry.

• Current medical license to practice psychiatry.

• At least 5 years of clinical experience in psychiatry, ideally within occupational health.

• Strong knowledge of the mental health challenges specific to the maritime sector.

• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.

• Capability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Dedication to delivering compassionate and patient-centered care.
