This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Conduct evaluations in compliance with Title 10 CFR Part 710.
• The evaluation will encompass the clinicians’ expert opinion on the individual’s mental health or mental condition.
• If necessary, request and assess PEth and EtG laboratory tests of the individual from a certified laboratory.
• Deliver a final written report within ten days after the evaluation is completed.
• Attend and provide testimony at DOE administrative review hearings when required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and hold an active Q or TS security clearance.
• Must be a Board-certified psychiatrist and/or a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Maryland.
• Must possess and maintain all necessary professional liability insurance or other insurance as required by Maryland state law.
• Proof of insurability must be submitted to the Government.
• Must allocate 50% of their general practice to treating individuals with past or current substance abuse issues.
• Applicants must have experience testifying in administrative or criminal proceedings.
• Certain roles requiring a security clearance may necessitate the successful completion of a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination at regular intervals.
• Ongoing reviews and tests for the absence of illegal substances may be mandated as a condition for continued access to DOE sites.
• The candidate must provide written consent for such tests as a prerequisite for employment.
