This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more countries.
• Develop complex psychiatric cases that challenge advanced diagnostic and clinical reasoning.
• Create scenarios that incorporate nuanced differentials, atypical presentations, competing diagnoses, uncertainty, and incomplete information.
• Design cases that highlight deficiencies in current AI reasoning and mirror real-world psychiatric practices.
• Evaluate psychiatric presentations utilizing structured clinical reasoning.
• Develop authoritative diagnostic interpretations and differential diagnoses.
• Clarify how symptoms, history, examination findings, and contextual factors influence clinical conclusions.
• Identify misleading or inadequate reasoning in AI-generated responses.
• Develop and review psychiatric risk-assessment scenarios.
• Assess reasoning related to safety, urgency, escalation, and appropriate next steps.
• Evaluate whether AI systems recognize high-risk findings and pinpoint errors in clinical-risk reasoning.
• Produce definitive reference answers with comprehensive clinical reasoning for AI benchmarking.
• Review AI-generated responses to advanced psychiatric cases.
• Identify recurring reasoning mistakes, omissions, and unsafe assumptions.
• Compare model behavior against expert clinical standards.
• Provide structured feedback to research teams and assist in refining evaluation criteria.
• Apply subspecialty expertise, including addiction, child and adolescent, forensic, geriatric, and consultation-liaison psychiatry.
• Medical degree: MD, DO, or a recognized international equivalent.
• Completion of psychiatry residency through ACGME, AOA, or a recognized national equivalent.
• Active board certification in psychiatry, such as ABPN, FRCPC, MRCPsych, FRANZCP, or a recognized national equivalent.
• Active and unrestricted medical license.
• Minimum of 3 years of independent psychiatric practice following residency, either currently or within the last two years.
• Professional practice within an accredited or government-licensed hospital, academic center, community clinic, private practice, or telehealth setting.
• Located in the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, or Australia.
• Strong expertise in psychiatric diagnosis, differential diagnosis, risk assessment, and clinical reasoning.
• Current direct patient care experience is highly valued.
• Excellent written communication skills and the ability to articulate complex clinical reasoning clearly.
• Fellowship, subspecialty certification, or 2+ years of focused practice in a psychiatry subspecialty is advantageous.
• Experience in developing or reviewing OSCEs is a plus.
• Current or recent faculty appointment within a psychiatry department is beneficial.
• H1-B and STEM OPT support is not available for this engagement.
