This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Balance direct patient care with provider coaching and quality enhancement throughout Rula’s 1099 psychiatric network.
• Perform chart evaluations and pinpoint clinical, coding, and documentation challenges.
• Provide compassionate, straightforward feedback to providers.
• Convert clinical insights into practical improvement strategies.
• Build strong, supportive relationships through peer outreach.
• Utilize clinical judgment and organizational abilities to uphold clinical excellence.
• Report directly to the Associate National Medical Director.
• Active and unrestricted PMHNP license in California.
• Valid California DEA registration.
• Current PMHNP board certification through ANCC or AANP.
• At least 3 years of experience in outpatient psychiatric practice.
• Experience in providing comprehensive psychiatric care in a completely remote telehealth environment.
• Familiarity with remote safety protocols and clinical considerations.
• Strong understanding of psychiatric CPT coding and documentation standards, including E/M level selection, MDM, Total Time, psychotherapy add-on code 90833, and compliance criteria.
• Capability to conduct chart evaluations and convert clinical findings into actionable improvement strategies.
• Proficiency with modern EHRs, ticketing systems, and data platforms such as AMD, Salesforce, Zendesk, Airtable, Looker, and G-Suite.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new software.
• Must reside in the United States; hiring is currently not available in Hawaii.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Preferred: active PMHNP licensure in multiple states.
• Preferred: experience in quality improvement, chart audits, or peer coaching.
• Preferred: familiarity or interest in AI tools for enhancing clinical quality and productivity.
• Preferred: experience in writing clinical guidance documents, documentation templates, or coaching resources.
