This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• The Psychiatric Practitioner delivers direct client care by assessing, diagnosing, planning, and prescribing both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments for health issues, health promotion, and preventive care within this specialized field.

• Conducts psychiatric diagnostic evaluations to establish diagnoses, treatment plans, and care coordination requirements for clients experiencing mental health, substance use, or other psychiatric and medical issues.

• Provides all psychiatric and/or medical services adhering to reasonable and expected medical standards, timelines, and in compliance with all regulations set by the relevant health licensing boards.

• Utilizes medical knowledge and skills in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of various illnesses.

• Maintains timely, complete, accurate, and legible medical records for all patients evaluated and treated, in accordance with the organization’s medical record system.

• Ensures timely, concurrent, and accurate clinical/billing documentation that meets professional standards in line with state and federal regulations, clinical necessity, and appropriate coding standards.

• Implements pharmacologic treatment strategies, orders medications, and monitors and evaluates progress regarding psychiatric and/or other medications.

• Orders, obtains, and assesses relevant laboratory tests and diagnostics, making clinical decisions based on laboratory interpretations.

• Guarantees timely access to care, showcasing flexibility in scheduling to fully accommodate client needs while meeting applicable productivity standards.

• The Provider will take on client care responsibilities that include psychiatric evaluations, professional diagnoses, and prescribing and/or administering treatments.

• Collaborates with MD or DO for complex or challenging cases.

• Adheres to state laws and regulations governing Psychiatry, including fulfilling supervised hour requirements, continuing medical education (CME), and completing necessary assessments promptly with the supervising physician.


⛳️ Requirements

• Provides medication and health education that includes, but is not limited to, informed consent, benefits, risks, side effects, and alternative treatments for prescribed medications, as well as health and wellness management and metabolic risk reduction strategies.

• Proficient and comfortable with conducting Telemedicine technology appointments for both intake and follow-up encounters.

• Successful completion of an accredited Psychiatric Mental Practitioner program is required.

• Current Licensed Practitioner with a full, active, and unrestricted license in the state of practice (CO and NM), along with an active state DEA License is required.

• Experience with EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred).

• Must be a resident of New Mexico.
