Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Virginia

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Delivers direct patient care encompassing medication management, diagnostic evaluations, and medical assessments.

• Educates patients on medications, including risks, benefits, and realistic outcome expectations.

• Collaborates effectively with support staff to guarantee proper patient communication and follow-up.

• Engages in treatment team meetings.

• Assists Medical Directors with tasks that involve direct patient interaction as required.

• Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned by the Medical Director.

• This role is structured for a 40-hour work week, with an expectation of 32 clinical hours and 8 administrative hours.

⛳️ Requirements

• Capability to support the Charlie Health team on a contract, part-time, or full-time basis; remote-friendly.

• Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Psychiatric/Mental Health from an accredited institution.

• Must hold a license as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

• Over 3 years of experience working as a PMHNP; experience in IOP, PHP, and/or IP settings is preferred.

• Experience working with diverse age groups, including children, teens, young adults, and adult clients.

• Dedication to providing high-quality, cost-effective healthcare.

• Proficient communication and collaboration skills with medical staff, patients, clinical support, and administrative personnel.

• Competence in using electronic health records.

• Requires basic computer and internet skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
