This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Provide treatment services to patients that align with your qualifications as a licensed and board-certified PMHNP.
• Ensure prompt documentation of all clinical interactions in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Maintain treatment notes, medication logs, progress reports, and all necessary documentation for billing, compliance, and credentialing purposes.
• Offer psychotherapy or supportive counseling interventions when appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare providers to guarantee continuity of care.
• Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and self-management techniques.
• Address patient inquiries regarding medication management and treatment-related concerns.
• Engage in staff meetings, case conferences, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Hold a current, unrestricted license and registration as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in New York State.
• Be board certified as a PMHNP by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
• Possess a current, unrestricted DEA registration.
• Candidates with less than 3,600 hours of practice will need to maintain a collaborative agreement with a supervising psychiatrist, in accordance with New York State law.
• Have a Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited PMHNP program.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric or behavioral health is preferred.
• Proven ability to coordinate care within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and compassion.
• Proficiency in using EHR systems (Practice Fusion or AdvancedMD preferred), Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and behavioral health care regulations.
• Completion of New York State-mandated infection control and child abuse identification training (if applicable).
