Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses for children, adolescents, and young adults.

• Create individualized treatment plans and manage medications tailored to the specific needs of each patient.

• Dedicate sufficient time to patients and their families to fully understand their experiences, educate them on treatment options, and offer continuous support.

• Track patient progress in relation to care objectives, modifying treatment plans as necessary to ensure favorable outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with therapists and other healthcare providers to develop integrated treatment strategies that address the entire child.

• Offer consultation and education to patients and their families, aiding them in understanding diagnoses, treatment options, and ways to support their child's mental health journey.

• Supervise diagnostic testing, including digital and lab results, while maintaining comprehensive, HIPAA-compliant patient records and documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid PMHNP license in New Jersey.

• At least 2 years of experience working independently as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults under any nursing license.

• Board Certification by ANCC or AANP (PMHNP-BC).

• DEA license, State Prescriptive Authority License & CDS.

• Access to a computer, phone, and high-speed internet.

• Proficiency with Google Suite, EHR systems, and technical knowledge.

• Commitment to a minimum of 10 hours per week.
