Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough psychiatric evaluations through telehealth to determine patients’ mental health requirements.

• Develop precise, evidence-based diagnoses and work alongside other professionals when interdisciplinary collaboration is necessary.

• Create personalized treatment plans in consultation with patients and their families.

• Prescribe and oversee psychotropic medications, assess their effectiveness, and modify treatment as required.

• Deliver supportive therapy, brief interventions, and psycho-educational services.

• Collaborate with therapists, psychiatrists, and care coordinators to ensure a coordinated, patient-centered approach to treatment.

• Engage in case reviews and participate in interdisciplinary meetings.

• Educate patients and their families regarding mental health disorders, treatment alternatives, and medication management.

• Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in electronic health records (EHR).

• Adhere to ethical, legal, and professional standards in psychiatric nursing practice.

• Keep up-to-date with emerging research, evidence-based practices, and trends in psychiatric nursing.

• Engage in ongoing education, supervision, and initiatives for team development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program.

• Active, unrestricted PMHNP license in Georgia.

• Current DEA registration.

• Board certification as a PMHNP-BC.

• Experience or a strong interest in working with youth and families.

• Excellent clinical judgment, communication abilities, and empathy.

• Proficient and comfortable in a telehealth setting.

• Availability for afternoons, evenings, and weekends is required.
