Psychiatric Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Deliver regularly scheduled consultations on caseloads to Behavioral Health Care Managers.

• Consultations on case reviews primarily concentrate on patients who are new to the caseload or those who are not making expected progress with their current treatment plans.

• Collaborate with Behavioral Health Care Managers to monitor the status and population health of their designated patient caseload.

• Suggest treatment modifications during the case review process or in ad hoc consultations, including recommendations for medications and other interventions.

• Provide guidance on treatment for patients requiring more intensive or specialized mental health care.

• Be accessible to offer occasional ad hoc telephone consultations to primary care providers for particularly complex patients or challenging situations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A valid license as a Psychiatrist or Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) is required; a Dual Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license is preferred.

• Licensure in OH or OR is required (both states preferred).

• Experience in a Collaborative Care Model (CoCM) or a similar framework is essential.

• Proven understanding of the Collaborative Care model for delivering mental health services within Primary Care environments.

• Capacity to swiftly synthesize medical and psychiatric information and develop effective, evidence-based clinical recommendations.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.

• Exceptional communication skills are necessary.

• A positive, adaptable, and solution-oriented attitude is essential.
