Provider Operations Associate / Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Take full responsibility for the daily monitoring and advancement of clinician credentialing and payer enrollment workflows, ensuring that applications proceed accurately and punctually.

• Detect and address obstacles within the credentialing, enrollment, and re-credentialing processes.

• Assist clinicians directly by providing guidance on credentialing and enrollment prerequisites and aiding in the resolution of any missing or incomplete documentation.

• Keep track of re-attestation, re-credentialing, and ongoing compliance requirements to avert any delays downstream.

• Evaluate credentialing and enrollment data to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement.

• Generate comprehensive reports for internal stakeholders, audits, and leadership.

• Recognize process gaps, inefficiencies, or manual tasks and contribute to implementing enhancements over time.

• Utilize spreadsheets, dashboards, and internal tools to manage workflows and monitor performance.

• Provide subject matter expertise to Wheel team members and/or clinicians regarding Wheel’s credentialing and payer enrollment operations, including addressing inquiries about processes, payer rosters, and clinicians' credentialing statuses.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience, preferably in operations, healthcare/telehealth, or a dynamic startup environment.

• At least 1 year of experience in credentialing and/or payer enrollment, featuring practical experience with the CAQH Provider Data Portal and Verifiable or Medallion.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in data analysis and visualization; you are adept at working with spreadsheets, interpreting metrics, and leveraging data to manage workflows and identify issues.

• You are exceptionally organized while being thoughtful about how tasks are completed, rather than merely checking boxes.

• You communicate with clarity and confidence with both clinicians and internal partners.

• You are comfortable with detail-oriented work and possess a curiosity about how to enhance processes over time.

• You have an interest in AI and are enthusiastic about utilizing AI to create efficiencies and enhance quality experiences.
