Protocol Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain the foundational blockchain network software that supports Plume’s validators and full nodes.

• Address distinctive challenges associated with declarative trading and vertical solutions, applying innovative and well-structured strategies to intricate problems.

• Interact with all levels of the crypto/DeFi stack, from backend infrastructure to on-chain swaps and frontend Web3 user experience, ensuring flawless integration and performance.

• Spearhead the creation and development of extensive features for Plume’s product, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and efficient.

• Keep abreast of the latest advancements and trends in protocol design and communication technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in designing and operating systems in one or more of the following domains: Distributed systems and consensus protocols, storage/database systems, high-performance systems, networking protocols, or programming languages and compilers.

• Knowledge of Viem/Wagmi, permissionless.js/pimlico, SIWE (Sign-In with Ethereum), ZeroDev Kernel Smart Accounts.

• Proficiency in Node.js (TypeScript), MySQL/Drizzle, Axiom & Sentry, with the capability to work with Python-based solvers.

• Demonstrated ability to conceive and implement innovative solutions in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment.

• A strong passion for the crypto and decentralized finance ecosystem, coupled with a keen desire to expand the limits of what is feasible on-chain.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
