• Accountable for creating written content in response to Requests for Proposals (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI), and necessary customer documentation.
• Assist in managing multiple intricate proposals and documents across ten varied organizations, demonstrating outstanding communication, organizational, and time management abilities.
• Evaluate Government and Commercial RFPs, technical and contractual materials, and other relevant background documents.
• Formulate questions and pinpoint information or resources essential for crafting suitable responses.
• Participate in strategy and kickoff meetings to grasp the objectives of the RFP, the requirements, and the expectations of both the customer and the team.
• Investigate, analyze, and gather data to support writing tasks.
• Conduct research on industry-related topics, competitive advantages, company assessments, pertinent federal regulations, and more.
• Engage in meetings with both internal and external senior professionals and subject matter experts to generate and organize content.
• Gather content from subject matter experts and team members to develop clear and persuasive responses.
• Write and refine materials for new business efforts, which include proposals, presentations, white papers, and RFIs.
• Create and compose solution-oriented proposals in reply to customer inquiries.
• Design, write, and edit tables, matrices, past performance descriptions, and resumes for proposals.
• Modify, tailor, and update previously developed content to align with specific customer needs.
• Operate within strict deadlines to meet proposal submission dates, ensuring documents are well-organized and professionally formatted.
• Adhere to all solicitation requirements, comprehending and following page and space limitations, as well as formatting requirements outlined in the RFP.
• At least 5 years of experience in Proposal Writing, ideally within Department of Defense (DoD) and Federal Government acquisitions/solicitations.
• Proficient in crafting technical proposal responses, past performance examples, and/or management plans, preferably for DoD and Federal Government RFPs.
• Familiarity with the Federal Government Procurement process and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
• Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with U.S. Government solicitations, Requests for Quotes (RFQ), RFIs, and RFP documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business, or another discipline requiring exceptional written communication capabilities.
• Completion of Shipley or Association of Proposal Management Professionals courses or certifications is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as RFPs, regulations, and policies.
• Exceptional communication skills. A consummate professional with remarkable time management and organizational abilities.
• A consistent and progressive history of outstanding performance and achievement.
• Superior strategic thinker, writer, and conceptual organizer, with a thorough understanding of tactics, actions, and meticulous attention to detail.
• A strategist knowledgeable in the proposal process, including solution design (themes, discriminators, features, benefits, ghosts), competitive intelligence, black hat, and other advanced facets of competing on bids and proposals at the highest levels.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Experience with Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) proposal responses and IDIQ Task Order responses is a plus.
• Ability to engage effectively with a diverse array of individuals possessing various skills and experiences.
• Proficient in using computers, software (Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat), and general office equipment.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word is essential.
• Familiarity with Government solicitation websites (e.g., GovWin, SAM.gov) and experience with Microsoft SharePoint is required.
• Experience with artificial intelligence software prompts is an advantage.
• Experience with construction bids is a plus.
