This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct research, outline, and compose a comprehensive manuscript (approximately 45,000–75,000 words).
• Work in close partnership with the editorial team through several rounds of revisions.
• Ensure theological consistency with The Daily Grace Co.’s doctrinal commitments.
• Important: Proposals lacking any of the required components listed below will not be reviewed.
• Title and Subtitle.
• Controlling Idea (1–2 sentences).
• One-Paragraph Summary: Provide a succinct overview of the book’s purpose, scope, structure, and tone.
• Target Audience Description (One of the Most Important Sections): Identify who the book is specifically for, their stage or season of life, the particular struggles, questions, or longings they are experiencing, and why this book is relevant to them at this time. Note: Specificity is crucial; broad descriptions like “Christian women” or “believers” are insufficient.
• Comparable Titles (2–3 from the Past 5 Years): Identify 2–3 comparable books published within the last five years, explaining how your book overlaps with each and how it is meaningfully distinct in approach, audience, tone, or theological emphasis.
• Author Bio: Describe what uniquely qualifies you to write this book, including your education, ministry, counseling, academic, or professional experience, subject-matter expertise, lived experiences relevant to the topic (if appropriate), and any previous publishing or writing experience.
• Detailed Chapter Outline: Provide a working table of contents that includes chapter titles, the main idea of each chapter, and how it supports the controlling idea of the book.
• Front and Back Matter (Optional): Describe any supplemental materials (e.g., photography, illustrations, reflection questions, discussion guides, recommended resources, liturgies, appendices, etc.).
• Timeline and Specifications: Include current manuscript status (idea stage, in progress, complete, etc.), estimated total word count (typically 45,000–75,000 words), and anticipated manuscript delivery date.
• Other Book Ideas (Optional): If you have additional book concepts that may suit The Daily Grace Co., please include a brief description of each idea (1–3 sentences per concept). These ideas will not be considered part of the current proposal but may be evaluated for future publishing opportunities.
• Sample Material: The complete book introduction and two fully written sample chapters that represent the final manuscript.
• Participation in meetings, workshops, or collaborative sessions may be requested based on the project timeline.
