This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Oversees the development of strategies presented in proposal documents, ensuring they align with Syneos Health's style, branding, messaging, and business goals.
• Works closely with internal teams (such as BD, operations, medical, finance, and proposals) to formulate clear, creative strategies that effectively express customer requirements and key themes essential for securing new business contracts.
• Produces high-quality, tailored, and persuasive proposal documents that focus on customer solutions, showcasing the company's differentiation, innovation, and operational strategy.
• Actively manages the proposal strategy from initial concept through to final delivery.
• Engages in refining study-specific strategies by recommending cross-organizational services, tools, and technology that set the organization apart from competitors.
• Encourages stakeholders to think outside the box, suggesting innovative solutions that meet the needs of customers and patients.
• Conducts research on each assigned project indication, applying findings to enhance discussions, strategy, and content development.
• Drives initiatives by clearly communicating project milestones and the responsibilities of team members, allowing for flexibility to adapt as priorities change while balancing the need for input and customer deadlines.
• Fosters strong relationships with stakeholders and decision-makers to facilitate problem-solving and promote efficient collaboration.
• Approaches projects with enthusiasm, encouraging ongoing engagement from team members.
• Identifies essential content for archiving and proactively addresses content gaps, creating new materials that strengthen Syneos Health's competitive edge.
• Acts as the document owner and writer for significant RFPs, RFIs, and proactive outreach initiatives, consolidating input from various contributors into cohesive and convincing narratives.
• Plays an active role in conflict resolution and removing obstacles to ensure progress towards high-quality deliverables, providing support as necessary.
• Consistently meets deadlines by setting priorities and target dates for document contributions, reviews, and approvals from key stakeholders, including executive leadership.
• Performs additional duties as required.
• BA/BS in life sciences, marketing, communications, business administration, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in the CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology sectors, including experience in technical writing, communications, or marketing.
• Proposal experience is highly preferred.
• Basic understanding of the drug development process, including functional operations and regulatory guidelines and directives.
• Proven ability to assess scientific and business information (e.g., clinical trial protocols) and utilize conclusions to craft persuasive and technical sales documents.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft® Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with SharePoint and other industry-related tools is preferred (e.g., AI).
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills; fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Strong project and process management capabilities with the ability to lead and mentor others.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Capacity to work effectively under pressure in a deadline-driven environment while ensuring accuracy, quality, and attention to detail.
• Comfortable engaging with executive and senior management.
• Ability to be adaptable, embrace change, and work independently, as well as collaboratively in a matrix environment.
