This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Compose and revise NOA letters that clarify decisions regarding healthcare services, coverage, or benefits.

• Utilize templates and guidelines to guarantee letters are precise and adhere to AHCCCS and other relevant regulations.

• Collaborate with internal teams (including clinical, legal, and customer service) to collect essential information.

• Ensure letters are written in clear language, are culturally sensitive, and easy to comprehend.

• Adhere to strict deadlines for the completion and delivery of letters.

• Uphold confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and other privacy regulations.

• Assist with audits and quality assessments of outgoing letters.

• Provide support to the prior authorization and Notice of Action Departments by drafting member letters and provider faxes.

• Contact providers and members to obtain necessary information for completing notifications.

• Handle a high volume of member letters and/or provider faxes, averaging 3,000–4,000 per month.

• Draft medical, pharmacy, dental, and behavioral health letters and ensure they are dispatched within the 24-hour, 72-hour, and 14-day regulatory timelines.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience with medical terminology.

• Ability to work Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm (Pacific Time or Arizona Time).

• Willingness to work a rotating Saturday shift every five weeks.

• Excellent written communication and grammar skills.

• Capability to comprehend and convey complex information in straightforward terms.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Comfortable using templates, forms, and computer systems.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Experience in healthcare, insurance, or customer service.

• Familiarity with AHCCCS, MCA, and Medicare.

• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
