Grant Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Craft engaging, persuasive, and compliant grant proposals that adhere to funding requirements and criteria.

• Create budgets, timelines, and other essential documents for grant applications.

• Utilize AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to enhance research, brainstorming, and drafting processes.

• Oversee the grant application process, coordinating with clients to collect necessary information.

• Monitor and report on the progress of assigned grant applications to ensure compliance with deadlines.

• Provide follow-up after submission, including addressing inquiries from funders as required.

• Ensure that all grant proposals are meticulously documented and comply with funders’ guidelines.

• Keep precise records of all assigned grant submissions.

• Communicate effectively with clients throughout the grant application journey.

• Offer regular updates on application status and forthcoming steps.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced degree in a relevant field (STEM, Business, English, or similar).

• A minimum of 2 years of grant writing experience; 5+ years preferred for senior-level candidates.

• Demonstrated success in securing grants (please provide examples in your application).

• Strong technical aptitude with the capacity to grasp complex scientific and technological concepts.

• Outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading abilities with a keen eye for detail.

• Capability to transform intricate technical information into clear and compelling narratives.

• Excellent project management and organizational capabilities.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Experience with or knowledge of startups or scale-ups is advantageous.

• Familiarity with grants in sectors such as med tech, agriculture, AI, or software development is a plus.
