This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the entire proposal process from the moment an RFP is received until submission.
• Evaluate compliance requirements, pinpoint risks, organize and facilitate meetings, and develop templates.
• Compile qualification materials, including resumes, biographies, project qualifications, references, certifications, and company information.
• Delegate responsibilities, supervise working drafts, edit and format documents, and submit final deliverables.
• Craft and write proposals in response to RFX and other solicitation documents.
• Develop proposal outlines and compliance matrices.
• Identify areas for improvement and address these with subject matter experts (SMEs) and the Strategic Account Management (SAM) Lead.
• Coordinate and monitor daily proposal activities and follow up on data requests.
• Implement color review processes and ensure content adheres to RFX and WPO standards.
• Compose tailored customer responses and integrate customer-focused sales messaging and win themes.
• Create and edit simple graphics or tabular presentations.
• Engage in or lead meetings focused on win themes and proposal development strategies.
• Conduct quality assurance and best-practice evaluations.
• Train proposal contributors and disseminate lessons learned.
• Prepare and deliver reports to senior management.
• Conduct peer reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior proposal developers.
• Execute FOIA requests and perform SWOT analysis.
• Act as a formal-review or compliance reviewer on major pursuits.
• Facilitate debrief meetings and gather feedback from clients.
• Lead the preparation of presentation and interview materials.
• Contribute to internal training initiatives.
• Take charge of writing executive summaries, past performance narratives, management approaches, and resumes/staffing documents.
• Mentor junior and intermediate proposal specialists/developers.
• Manage multiple proposals with an emphasis on project management and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with SAM leads, SMEs, Legal, Finance, HR, Marketing, sales, and various other departments.
• Write and edit proposal sections to ensure clarity, conciseness, accuracy, and persuasiveness.
• Conduct statistical analysis and create narratives around data.
• Investigate client needs, industry trends, and competitor offerings.
• Monitor and assess proposal metrics such as win rates and modify strategies as necessary.
• Required location: United States
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or Business, or a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in proposal writing or a similar role.
• Proven experience managing multiple proposals with a focus on project management and quality assurance.
• Successful history of collaboration with cross-functional subject matter experts and corporate personnel.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and InDesign.
• Strong grasp of document design elements and marketing strategies.
• Capability to create win themes and weave narratives throughout proposal responses.
• Exceptional writing and editing abilities.
• Aptitude for handling multiple projects simultaneously while managing competing priorities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Consistent personal ethics, including integrity, dependability, initiative, and quality.
• Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
