This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Proposal Manager enhances their skills in complex proposal and interview processes while further developing capture planning and client service expertise.
• Capture Planning: Collaborating closely with the capture manager/team, facilitate initial and update meetings, identify and validate winning themes and strategic messaging, and lead the creation of pre-RFP proposal sections.
• Support collaboration efforts by coordinating with both internal and external partners, and contribute to strategy development by actively participating in major-level pursuits, including IFBP meetings, client relationship mapping, and content creation.
• Assess the level of effort required for the pursuit team.
• Proposal Management: As the Proposal Manager, oversee major and priority-level pursuits, directing proposal strategy discussions, GNGs, and kick-off meetings to ensure strategic win themes are effectively integrated throughout the proposal.
• Guarantee full RFP compliance by confirming and documenting adherence across all elements of the proposal.
• Manage standard and agile-level pursuits, especially those requiring cross-team coordination with other business development units.
• Writing: Serve as the lead author for major-level proposals. Develop executive summaries and non-technical sections that highlight the firm’s strengths and align with client objectives. Create detailed content outlines and storyboards for technical sections, incorporating win themes and strategic messaging identified during capture planning and kick-off meetings.
• Produce core content, including firm histories, qualifications, cover letters, personnel bios, project descriptions, and subconsultant qualifications.
• Interview Development: Direct interview strategy and preparation for major-level pursuits. Mentor the proposal team in effectively presenting win themes and messages throughout the presentation process.
• Typically, a 4-year degree in English, Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or a related field - or equivalent experience - is required.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant working experience is preferred.
• Generally, 8+ years of combined experience in the complete business development lifecycle (client, capture, proposal, and interview phases).
• At least 3 years of proven experience in supporting, facilitating, and engaging in capture planning efforts.
• A track record of success in securing major pursuits and leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Proposal experience within the AEC and/or Aviation sectors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (required) and Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign (preferred); familiarity with a customer relationship management (CRM) system (Deltek Vantagepoint preferred).
