Property Desk Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Assess insurance policies, claims forms, endorsements, carrier guidelines, and records to ascertain coverage.

• Investigate property and casualty claims by reviewing reports, records, conducting interviews, corresponding, and inspecting damages.

• Estimate costs for repairs, replacements, or compensation.

• Compile findings reports and negotiate settlements for claims.

• Issue settlement checks and prepare regulatory documentation.

• Manage salvage and subrogation processes as needed.

• Recommend legal action when settlements cannot be reached.

• Attend litigation hearings and engage in depositions as required.

• Adjust case reserves to account for anticipated costs.

• Efficiently manage the assigned caseload utilizing technology and automation tools.

• Forward claims exceeding $15,000 in gross loss to leadership for approval.

• Execute additional tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A valid state adjuster license is mandatory.

• Must secure IIA-AIC designation within 12 to 18 months in the position.

• A minimum of three years of relevant experience or a suitable combination of education and experience is required.

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.

• Previous experience in property and casualty claims is advantageous but not essential.

• An empathetic approach to claims handling is necessary.

• Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.

• Proficiency in PC usage, including Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong analytical and interpretative skills.

• Competent negotiating skills.

• Capability to produce comprehensive, accurate, and constructive written reports.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.

• Commitment to meeting or surpassing Performance Competencies.

• Skilled in managing multiple priorities and adhering to deadlines.

• Proficient in computer keyboarding; travel may be required.
