Property Claims Road Adjuster – Ontario

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Visit claim locations to assess property damage and determine restoration or replacement needs.

• Guide customers through the claims process and assist them in submitting necessary documentation.

• Evaluate whether claims fall under coverage and clarify coverage decisions to clients.

• Create loss scopes for claims involving building damage.

• Obtain, assess, and authorize contractor estimates.

• Support customers with the repair or replacement of lost or damaged assets.

• Negotiate settlements, coordinate payments, and conclude claims.

• Generate reports and initiate payment requests.

• Handle smaller claims via phone adjustments.

• Recognize policies that require underwriting review.

• Stay updated with training and industry knowledge.

• Collaborate closely with customers and contractors to restore affected properties.

• Work within a supportive claims team, receiving coaching, mentoring, training, and resources.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in property claims insurance.

• At least 1 year of experience in field claims adjusting.

• Minimum of 1 year of employment with a recent employer.

• A high school diploma is required.

• Preferred post-secondary education.

• Possession of a CIP designation or actively working towards it.

• An adjusting license in Ontario or the ability to obtain one promptly.

• Excellent analytical and decision-making capabilities.

• Strong communication, active listening, and questioning skills.

• Proficient in conflict management.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
