This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage daily accounting functions, which include journal entries, reconciliations, and transaction processing.
• Ensure accurate recording of all transactions in accordance with company and client policies.
• Supervise team workloads and guarantee that deadlines are achieved.
• Assist in the onboarding of new properties and assignments as necessary.
• Support and facilitate the monthly closing processes.
• Review reconciliations, schedules, and reports generated by staff.
• Aid in the preparation of financial statements and reporting packages.
• Provide daily supervision, guidance, and support to the accounting team.
• Train new team members and reinforce established processes and procedures.
• Assess work for quality and offer constructive feedback for enhancement.
• Act as the first point of escalation for inquiries, discrepancies, and issues.
• Investigate and resolve complex accounting or transactional challenges.
• Ensure compliance with established workflows and internal controls.
• Maintain documentation that is audit-ready and assist with audit requests.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
• 4–7+ years of accounting experience, ideally in property accounting.
• Previous experience in leading or mentoring team members is preferred.
• Strong grasp of accounting principles and processes.
• Familiarity with property accounting systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI, Avid, or similar).
